I just watched Video Games the movie, I think it is Ok, but just Ok, for who is a gamer it doesn't tell you anything new, for who is not it tells some superficial facts and won't really excite you to start playing. It's a movie just Ok for TV but far from being something worth going to a cinema.
It's good that someone decided to make a film about Video Games but it turns out a very mediocre film, which tries to condense the entire video game history in 105 minutes.
It looks like the first episode of a series about video games, not a real film about video games.

Valkyrie
Guys, if you allow me to indulge in some self-promotion. I have recently become a main writer for a new mecha-themed sci-fi setting: Valkyrie.
This world is set around a new miniature wargame, which is now live on Kickstarter. It is a solitaire game with a simple game mechanics that have a lot of depth to it.
